THIS GOSPEL
by Pastor Kevin
Badgley,
05/21/95 P.M.
Matthew
9:35 says, “And Jesus went about all the cities and
villages, teaching in their synagogues, and
preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing
every sickness and every disease among the people.”
Matthew
4:23-24 says, “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in
their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom,
and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease
among the people. And his fame went throughout all Syria:
and they brought unto him all sick people that were taken
with divers diseases and torments, and those which were
possessed with devils, and those which were lunatick, and
those that had the palsy; and he healed them.” No matter
what the condition or the torment, Jesus still does miracles
today (Hebrews 13:8, Malachi 3:6, James 1:17, Matthew 10:8,
and John 17:20).
In
Matthew 10:1 Jesus gave his twelve disciples, “. . . power
against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all
manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” We
are Jesus’ disciples, and we can have the same power.
Mark
1:14-15 says, “. . . Jesus came into Galilee,
preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God, And
saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at
hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.”
Not all
will receive this Gospel. Luke 10:10-11 says, “But
into whatsoever city ye enter, and they receive you not, go
your ways out into the streets of the same, and say, Even
the very dust of your city, which cleaveth on us, we do wipe
off against you: notwithstanding be ye sure of this, that
the kingdom of God is come nigh unto you.”
The
Kingdom of God came to them by the anointed servants of God
manifesting the power of the Kingdom of God! The kingdoms
of this world cannot heal cancer! The Gospel of Jesus
Christ destroys the works of the devil. When we see Jesus’
Gospel preached rather than the tradition of men, the devil
will be routed out, and revival will spring forth! Luke
1:37 says, “For with God nothing shall be
impossible,” so the church is going to have to get with
God!
Jesus
said to pray to God in Matthew 6:10, “Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.”
Sometimes in earth God’s will is done, but in heaven
God’s will is ALWAYS done! Jesus now sits at the
right hand of the Father, so He works through His body,
people who are saved and Holy Ghost filled. Signs and
wonders shall follow them that believe (see Mark 16).
Luke
17:20 says, “. . . The kingdom of God cometh not with
observation.” You don’t see it with natural eyes, and
you aren’t going to enter in by natural means. Verse 21
says, “Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for,
behold, the kingdom of God is within you.”
You become a child of God, and the next phase is the baptism
of the Holy Ghost. Then the power comes, and as we totally
yield to God, He will manifest more and more in our lives.
You have
power to bring forth revival by the Sprit of God. If
everybody was going to eat at the same table, but everybody
depended on everybody else to bring the food, then nobody
brings the food. The same thing happens in the Spirit.
Everyone has to do their part. Get a whole church on fire
and people keep bringing and bringing, the table would be
full. Then God, by His Spirit, would start calling them,
“Come on to supper,” because then the church is
ready! The lost will be compelled to come in, seeing the
blessings of the Lord and the miracles. Let’s get the table
ready, and let the Kingdom of God begin to manifest.
Matthew 24:14 says, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall
be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations;
and then shall the end come.” This gospel of
the kingdom is preached by the manifest sons of God, those
who have gone from childhood to maturity in the Lord. This
is the church without spot or wrinkle. God is trying to
give an opportunity for all the world to see the real Jesus
Christ. Let me encourage your soul. When God says
something, it will come to pass! Mark 13:10 says, “And
the gospel must first be published among all
nations.” That lets me know that it will be
published. The church will pray through! You can’t
publish something that isn’t happening! Revival has got to
spring forth, and then shall the end come.
John
3:30 says, “He must increase, but I must decrease.” God
can’t do away with His Word (see Matthew 24:35), so if I’m
having trouble believing, or if I struggle to obey God, then
I have to get rid of the part of me that is causing the
problem! Then I can believe anything is possible with God!
Let’s quit limiting God, and let’s seek His face for victory
in these things! Amen!
