Living Hope Fellowship Church...Sermons From the Pastor
GOING
TO GOD
by Pastor Kevin Badgley
There is nothing too hard for God. Galatians 5:6, "For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh by love." James 5:16 tells us, ". . . The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." God is going to have his love spread abroad in our hearts, but I want you to focus on the
". . . faith which worketh by love." If we will yield to God, I believe He will do something in us. Matthew 5:6 says "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled."
Jesus let us know in John 15:13, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." If we lay down our lives for our family, and friends, and church the Bible says that is the greatest love there is. You are operating in God's love. We know the faith that moves mountains and the faith to do the works Jesus did is motivated, operated, and moved by the love of God in our hearts, according to Galatians 5:6.
By the Spirit of the Lord I want to take you to heavenly places. Now, unfasten your safety belts. When someone is getting ready to fly in the natural, they announce to all, Fasten your safety belts, so you don't move. I'm telling you to take the limit off of God and unfasten you safety belts . . . the thing you trust in . . . cast it to the side. Let's start believing God and let's fly away! Have you been waiting on it? The Bible says that they that wait on the Lord shall renew their strength. I saw a night vision when I was praying. I saw myself going up, up, up to a high place. I've had this happen several times. I looked out across the horizon, rather than keeping my eyes pointed up. Then I started looking down, realizing that I was a ways off of the ground. When you start looking down, you are going to get fearful and unbelieving. God will allow you to be brought right back down. Get your eyes fastened on Jesus, don't look crossways, to the right hand or the left, and don't look down; look up. God has a victory for you up there, so keep your eyes fastened on him.
Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you. Jesus said, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." A lot of people say, Well, that's getting sinners saved. You're right; it is, but let's go a little deeper. He said all men. Some are saved already. He just keeps on drawing and calling and pulling and trying to get us one step higher than yesterday!
John 17:26, "And I have declared unto them thy name, and will declare it . . . ." Jesus is still going to declare the name of God among his people today. ". . . that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them." We know that the faith of Jesus works by love. He will continue to declare the name of God and the moving of the Spirit. ". . . Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the Lord of hosts." It will begin to put you in the love of God.
The love of God is a place. God is even called love. Jesus said in his Father's house are many mansions and he has gone to prepare a place for whosoever will. We can get into that love of God . . . that special place. Jesus operated in the love of God. When you are in the love of God you don't have "no" for an answer, "For all the promises of God in him are yea, and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us."
He said he would withhold no good thing from them that walk uprightly. He continues to declare the name of the Lord ". . . that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them." In other words, so we can be in that special place together with God. Are you ready to go?
Use your Bible . . . you'll be blind without it. It is a lamp and a light. John 14:21, "He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him." If you obey God, you love God. That is how you prove to God you love him. We need to get into the bosom of the Father and be able to touch and see God. If we obey and love God through the Lord Jesus Christ, by the power of the Holy Ghost, Jesus will manifest himself to us. When you've had a vision from Christ, everything else pales by comparison. You will have faith that is out of this world and you'll be able to see all things possible. Only believe.
In Acts 1:8 Jesus said, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me . . . ." When you get the Holy Ghost you receive power to be witnesses and power to stand in the presence of God. ". . . Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God." Elijah walked before God, yet he was here. God has not changed his location. He can't lie. Abraham said ". . . The LORD, before whom I walk . . . ." These men walked before God and yet were living in this life. This wasn't after they died and went to heaven. They lived a lot of years after they said these things. When we get in that special place we will operate in the love of God and out of compassion of Christ, and anything will be possible. How many can believe for this thing? You can't have it unless you believe for it. If you don't believe for it, you won't ask for it. If you don't ask, you won't receive. "And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."
Revelation 3:12, "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out . . . ." That lets me know that he's been going in and out. We know that Jesus has already overcome so he's not talking about Jesus. He is certainly not talking about angels; they are already there. He's talking about whosoever will . . . him that overcometh. He said, ". . . he shall go no more out. . . ." That means he is going to be in the temple of God all the time. Is he going to wait till you're dead to do that? If you overcome, he's going to put you in his temple. Revelations talks about the temple of God. Can you imagine going to church with Jesus? If you did that right now and came back here, it wouldn't be much fun here any more. The angels have church when a sinner repents! How would you like to be a pillar in the temple of God?
I believe God, in the revival that is coming, will draw all men unto him. No man can boast and say, I'm drawing the crowds. The Spirit of the Lord will draw souls to Jesus and God will get the glory. God will draw more and more. How can you be a pillar in the temple of God and still operate down here? I will be up there and won't care anything about coming back. I have scripture that lets you know you can be in both places.
Jesus said he would manifest himself to us. Do you believe him? Revelation 21:7 says, "He that overcometh shall inherit all things. . . ." God is a Spirit and seeketh such to worship him. God is not limited. In John 17:24 Jesus said, "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am. . . ." He was saying I will, I want, I desire, I pray. . . that these be with me where I am. A lot of people say, Well, when you die, you get to be with Jesus. I believe it is also for right now.
Jesus wants you with him where he is. Where is he? He's at the right hand of the Father and any where else he wants to be. It is wonderful to say I brought the Lord with me. Wouldn't it be even more wonderful if the Lord brought you with him? Wherever he went, you'd be. He might say, I'VE GOT A WORK TO DO IN INDIA, AND I'VE GOT JUST THE VESSEL I'M GOING TO USE. He'd just pick you right up out of your chair and send you to India to preach the gospel. Can and will God do that?
John 12:26, "If any man serve me, let him follow me; and where I am, there shall also my servant be: if any man serve me, him will my Father honour." Following him means obeying him. He said, "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am. . . ." He said if we follow him, he will guarantee it. He reinforced it with one more thing after that. He said, ". . . if any man serve me, him will my Father honour." You get an audience with God. How can the Father honor you except he put you in the temple?
The temple I got . . . I complain about some times. It got gray early; it is fair skinned; it's not muscular enough. I've got a lot of complaints about this temple, but I didn't have any choice at all in what I got. So, I don't hold it against some of you all . . . you all didn't have any choice in what you got either. The Bible says he's going to change this thing, and I believe it's going to be for the better. I believe God has got a better temple than this. He said, "For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." A house made in heaven, not even made with hands, not made by the desire or lust of men, but of God.
1 Corinthians 15:53 says, "For this corruptible must put on incorruption . . . ." Do you think we can put it on now? Can you believe that Jesus by his Spirit can walk in us today, and that God the Father, by his Spirit, can walk in us today? Romans 8:11, "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you." There is a place in heaven prepared for you and me, and yet still live in this life. We walk by faith.
Jesus rebuked Nicodemus because he couldn't understand heavenly things. John 3:13, "And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." Only Jesus ascended into heaven. We know that he is there right now. When did he speak these words? Every word in the Bible is true. Every jot and tittle is said that way on purpose. There are secrets hidden in those words.
"And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven." The Son of man is Jesus which is in heaven. He was standing on earth talking to his disciples when he quoted this. He didn't say was and is about to go back. Could it be he had audience with God continually, even while he walked this earth? Jesus said not to despise little ones, ". . . for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven." Angels don't have the Holy Ghost. They desire to look into the things you and I have by the blood of the Lamb and the Holy Ghost power of God. Why does it seem like such a fantastic thing?
He said, ". . . Son of man which is in heaven." He told Nathanael, ". . . Hereafter ye shall see heaven open, and the angels of God ascending and descending upon the Son of man." If that means after his ascension, why would the angels have to descend to Jesus? In other words, he was Son of man in this natural body, mortal, laying aside his Godhead power, and operating as a Holy Ghost filled man for an example for us to follow. He still had power to ascend and come back.
Jesus operated as a man. He said no man, up to that time, had ascended up to heaven and ever came back. We know Enoch and Elijah ascended up to heaven as natural men. They didn't come back. Jesus was standing there in front of them and was speaking of himself as he was saying, "Son of man which is in heaven." If Jesus did it, you and I can do it. Paul did it. 2 Corinthians 12:1-2, (1) "It is not expedient for me doubtless to glory. I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord. (2) I knew a man in Christ above fourteen years ago, (whether in the body, I cannot tell; or whether out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) such an one caught up to the third heaven." A man in Christ is a new creature. The old creature passes away. The new creature can do strange and peculiar things.
You have an atmosphere, outer space, and then the heaven of God. This is not out of context in the Word of God. He said he knew a man, and he didn't know how he went, but he was caught up . . . that is the same as rapture. The word rapture is not in the Bible but "caught up" is. A chariot of fire and horses of fire are also in the Bible. Genesis 5:24, "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." That is in the Old Testament.
This testimony of Paul's is in the New Testament; this is in Christ. 2 Corinthians 12:3-5, "(3) And I knew such a man, (whether in the body, or out of the body, I cannot tell: God knoweth;) (4) How that he was caught up into paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter. (5) Of such an one will I glory: yet of myself I will not glory, but in mine infirmities." Now look at this . . . he's talking about himself. The apostle Paul prayed into heaven. He got into the place where he was walking before God and was still living in this life.
No man had ascended up into heaven until Jesus did. He said I'LL PREPARE THE WAY AND YOU COME ALONG DIRECTLY. Jesus said, ". . . I go to prepare a place for you . . . ." Why would he prepare a place for you if you don't go? Thomas said, We don't know the way. Jesus said, ". . . the way ye know." "Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not wither thou goest; and how can we know the way?" "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." But if you get in Christ you can go to the Father. I'm convinced that we have to go there before we can go here and do very much.
We recently returned from vacation. We had to drive through the city of Nashville. It was like a spider web endowed with spiders. It was beyond my comprehension. When I'd go to turn off, it didn't say what it said . . . back there . . . my wife said it did. I say it didn't. I'm probably wrong. . . . There are 10,000 semis bearing down on your bumper, just waiting to destroy you and smear you all over the guard rail. I thought to myself . . . God, there's got to be a better way to travel! I felt down in my soul the Lord said, YES, THERE IS. I believe if we'll change our oil and put in a new filter, and get that old motor revved . . . stir up the gift that is within us . . . we are going to have a vehicle for transportation. Translation is better than anything that Plymouth can come out with. The road map is already laid out how to get there. There is only one way, so you won't get lost along the way.
Paul said, ". . . I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord." I believe the man did it on a perpetual basis. I believe Jesus did it and I believe his church is going to do it. They are going to walk before God and be more than just here. They are going to be here and there at the same time. I know this is graphic but I've got to say it in such a way.
The book of John sometimes is hard to understand because of the way Jesus spoke. I believe he was speaking in spiritual terms, but the Spirit of the Lord will guide us into all truth. He said the Holy Ghost would reveal to us things to come and also bring things back to our remembrance. John 12:32, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." Jesus has made the way and given us the transportation.
I have cruise control on my van. If I pull out on the highway and set the cruise it will stay at a certain speed, but I've still got to do the driving. If we get in the Lord, I believe the Lord will even do that. Can you imagine getting on the highway, punch in the cruise control, run it and take a nap till you get there? Can you imagine walking and not fainting or running and not getting weary? Can you imagine mounting up with wings like eagles? Is that poetry or is that literal? Does it mean what it says? Is it possible? Yes. That's what God meant. Can we believe more than God can produce? Is it something to soothe us?
I hear people that like the new "perversion" Bibles. They call them new Bible translations or versions, but I call them perversions. It is a twisting of the words of God. They say, Ah, the beautiful language of the King James. That is the Word of God and it is written that way on purpose. When you go to changing it you hide every secret and the devil has been good at hiding everything that God has prepared. God wants it to be revealed, even now.
Can God take you out of here in a moment's time? You know he can. He wants to. In John 3:8 Jesus told Nicodemus, "The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit." The capital S in Spirit means Spirit of God. If you are born of the Spirit of God, full of the Holy Ghost, running over, prayed up, and built up in your most holy faith, you are in great danger of not staying at home much. I am a home body in the natural. When I get home, I just stay there, but this thing is beginning to draw me to where I want to do some traveling. It is making me hungry and making me realize there is a whole lot more than we know about. God wants to reveal it. It is so fantastic that most people say, It is just too much! It is not. It is just the right amount.
Philippians 3:20, "For our conversation is in heaven . . . ." Now you have to be there to talk there. Well, it just says our conversation is there. Do you think it means that they can just hear you in heaven? Sure, you pray in the Holy Ghost and it goes right straight through and God can hear you. Your conversation is up there, and he hears everything, and it is wonderful. Yeah, but you are playing it down. It means more than that. I believe your conversation is in heaven, but you can be there too. You might say, Now, Brother Kevin, you're gonna have to come on. This is getting really far out. Let's get a little far out then.
Remember what it says, "For our conversation is in heaven . . . ." Go to Ephesians 2:6. "And hath raised us up together, and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus:" That is a little more than conversation, potentially. It is for those that will believe it. Jesus said nothing shall be impossible to them that believe. Right now some things are, but if we pray into the place that we need to be, and we stay there, we can get into that place where nothing shall be impossible to us. As our conversation is in heaven and we continue to lay up our treasures in heaven, preparing and furnishing that house Jesus has prepared for us . . . there comes a day we can sit together with Jesus in heavenly places. The place is already prepared.
Jesus gave us power to overcome and get victory. He has prepared us a place in his stead. The devil is mad . . . well, he's mad as the devil! This is God's vengeance against the devil. Romans 12:19, ". . . Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord." He said, DEVIL, I HAVE GOT A LITTLE SOMETHING FOR YOU FOR MAKING ADAM AND EVE MESS UP. DOWN THE ROAD A PIECE, OF HER VERY OWN SEED, I'M GOING TO PLANT THE POWER THAT I HAVE, WHICH NEITHER YOU NOR ANY OF THE ANGELS EVEN UNDERSTAND. I 'M GOING TO TAKE THAT MORTAL THAT YOU TRIPPED UP WAY BACK THERE AND I'M GOING TO TAKE AWAY YOUR PLACE AND PUT HIM IN YOURS. THEN WHEN THE END COMES, I'M GOING TO HAVE THEM JUDGE YOU. We understand that he is already judged, but Paul said we'd judge angels in due season.
There is a death angel I want to talk to. Did you know the death angel could come to try to take somebody away and you can fight him and get him off of him? God will send him but you can wrestle him and tell him to get out of here. Jacob did. He was fixing to get wiped out. He had blood in his eyes. When he got done wrestling that angel, the angel said, "Let me go . . . ." Imagine the other angels in heaven looking at that angel and saying, "What is the matter with you?" Oh, I had a fight with Jacob. Then the angel is looking at the Lord and saying, "Did you give him the power to do that?" . . . and Jesus just grins. The Bible says the angels are greater in power and might. Get filled with the Holy Ghost and you=ll start walking in the things Jesus did. There is not an angel anywhere that can whip Jesus.
Jesus said, ". . . I go to prepare a place for you." He said he was in that place. He said he is the way to get there. If you get in Jesus, you'll be a new creature and will be doing these things. Do you see how far below the standard the church is? It hasn't changed. This is not a new revelation. This has always been written in the Bible . . . to be with God and walk before God in the Spirit and before men at the same time.
I read something that Smith Wigglesworth said. He said that a devil possessed young woman had an affliction. She hadn't slept or eaten for weeks. The husband was trying to get the baby to maybe make an influence on the mother . . . to draw on the mother instincts to try to bring her out of it. She would just flip over; she was so bound of the devil. Smith Wigglesworth said he saw the situation, that it was a hopeless case. He just looked up into heaven and got a witness in his Spirit. God told him what to do. He said, "Come out of her, you devil, in Jesus name." She rolled over and went to sleep and woke up the next day perfectly sane, perfectly whole.
Jesus looked up into heaven. What have you been using your eyes for lately? Could be the Lord wants to use your eyes to see. He said, "He that hath ears to hear, let him hear." Then you can get faith, and then you can get some sight. He wants you to see more than what's here. He wants you to see everything. You have got to pray into this thing. How do we get there? Jude 1:20, "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost." If you have the Holy Ghost, you have the same thing Jesus had. If it ain't happening, it's because we're not doing it, or not doing it enough, or we're not doing it God's way.
You can do all these things God has commanded, but if you get off into flesh you can't do a lot of it because God heareth not sinners. Live it 24 hours a day, then that power will get greater. Acts 1:8, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you. . . ." After you receive that power, you will have power to do anything, as long as the Lord has given you direction to do it. It is available for whosoever will.
This is talking about the love that is in God as you pray. Colossians 1:4-6, "Since we heard of your faith in Christ Jesus, and of the love which ye have to all the saints, For the hope which is laid up for you in heaven, whereof ye heard before in the word of the truth of the gospel; Which is come unto you, as it is in all the world. . . ." That happened in Acts 2 when God sent the Holy Ghost to the earth. The Holy Ghost only filled those that were praying and believing God. They spread it abroad.
The Bible declares that it will bring forth fruit. Pray in the Spirit of the Lord. Yield and go as God moves you, being instant in season and out of season when he speaks to you to pray. Do it right then! It is almost always for a definite reason. Sometimes it tests your obedience. You won't be without a blessing. The devil surely won't tell you to go pray. If it is not convenient, so much more will be the blessing. It could be you may have to dry your hands even as you leave the dishes, with them half done, because God speaks to you to pray. You obey and get in the closet and pray, and he says, NOW, GO OUT. You come out of the closet and you are standing in Afghanistan! It can happen!
Jesus said, "But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly." The best way I know to open something is to use the door. He said he opened the door of faith to the Gentiles. Faith, then, can open doors. It can translate you; it can move you about at his will. You will be moved about by the Spirit of the Lord and the devil won't be able to tell where you are coming from and where you are going. The devil can't be everywhere at one time. There are devils all over the earth, so there is usually one to be found; you don't have to look too long. The Bible says to resist the devil and he will flee from you. Most people aren't resisting or he would have fled from them long ago. They kind of like him around. That way, in case they decide to backslide, they can pick the one they want.
God can be anywhere and in all places at the same time. Now, we can't be and never will be able to do that. We will never be God! Don't misunderstand my message. Jesus said, "Father, I will that they also, whom thou hast given me, be with me where I am. . . ." If you are walking in the Lord and he decides to take a walk, you're going where he's going. The big thing is that we've got to lay down every weight because Jesus don't take on no baggage. He did that 2,000 years ago . . . nailed it to his cross. John 8:36, "If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed."
We know what freedom is. We feel it when we get on a motorcycle or in a convertible car. You can go down the road and feel the breeze blowing through your hair; you are out in the open and you have got that freedom. What if you got in a position with the Lord where you just didn't need a vehicle? What if you got in a position with the Lord where you would just be in the Lord and wouldn't even be in the world? John 17:16 says, "They are not of the world, even as I am not of the world." In other words, the same way that I am not in the world, my people can be not in the world. John 17:19. "And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they also might be sanctified through the truth."
Sanctified through the truth is set apart, pulled away, and separated. He said, "Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you." A lot of people have got their hand on an unclean thing of some kind. If you get your hand off of the unclean thing and don't touch it any more, God will receive you! Start lifting up Christ and not yourself; he will start drawing you. You will be drawn, pulled, and tugged on up into a higher place in God. What is all this for? So that when you walk on this earth, having an audience with God, you will have power over all the power of the enemy. God will move in your situation, and will heal, deliver, and set free 100%. Jesus said, "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you."
He wants the fruit to remain. Aren't you tired of praying for people and they get bound before they get to the door? Aren't you tired of praying for people that are sick and you know God healed them, and they let it come back, becoming worse than they were? He said he ordained us and that our fruit should remain. If we get in that place in the Lord, it will remain. When you are walking in the Lord . . . some people are scared of that. I don't know about this "new creature" stuff. I kinda like this creature. The Bible says, "Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." If you are in Christ you are going to be a new creature. You are not going to be the same; you will be different. Anything you ever had to say, you won't say it because you will be totally sold out to God. Where ever Jesus moves you, you will go. You will have a desire to him and will love him above all else. You will do the things that Christ does as well as what he did. You might say, Well, I don't know. . . .
(Example) Go visit someone in a hospital one day. Punch the button for sixth floor. Go up there and it is the burn unit with burned babies (maybe from car accidents), old folks, new folks, and middle aged folks. It is horrible with suffering, but you are in Christ that day. Something has happened in your life . . . you prayed through to the victory. You have overcome, and God has made you a pillar in the temple of our God. You start walking on that sixth floor. Can you imagine walking up to the bed of the absolute most hopeless case you can fathom? They would rather be dead than alive. You will know that God has sent you and it doesn't matter what kind of shape they are in because in five minutes or five seconds they are going to be up, getting dressed, and are going home! You will know it as you are dressing that morning. God will move on you.
(Example) There may be someone at their rope's end. That one is going to commit suicide. That one has had much abuse in their life. They are abused and have abused. They are a hopeless wreck. They are absolutely shot. The devil is hounding them and they are going to be destroyed. They will be in hell for eternity five minutes from now. They start to bring the gun to their head when a hand reaches out and gets a hold of them. You grab a hold of them and say, Christ can help you, will you believe?. . . and they say, Who is he that I can believe on him? Then you bind that devil and the thing will be bound. It won't argue, won't fuss, won't fume. It will be bound. You won't wrestle 14 hours to get it out. You will just say, "Come out in Jesus' name!" and by the word of God, the finger of God will cast out devils.
(Example) The Mississippi and the Ohio Rivers overflow their banks and there is a flood. The bridges are washed out. There is an earthquake. There are three tornadoes in your area and all the electricity is out. Everybody is in chaos and people are saying, God, how are we going to get anything done? You can say, Well, I'm going over to Kentucky. Someone may say, Well, I'll go with you. You say, All right, take me by the hand and we'll go over there. You just walk across the Ohio River. You don't need a bridge. Or, God says, I WANT THE GLORY TODAY. TODAY YOU ARE NOT GOING TO WALK ACROSS. You may say, OK, Lord, what do you want me to do? He says, PART IT. THERE ARE SOME UNBELIEVERS IN THE CROWD AND THEY WILL THINK YOU ARE STEPPING ON STONES ACROSS THERE. YOU PART IT.
Remember what God told Moses. "And the LORD said unto Moses, Wherefore criest thou unto me? speak unto the children of Israel, that they go forward: But lift thou up thy rod, and stretch out thine hand over the sea, and divide it: and the children of Israel shall go on dry ground through the midst of the sea." God asked him why he cried to him. He told him it was in his hand. It is in our soul today by the Holy Ghost. He wants us to stretch forth the rod, to stretch forth our faith, stretch forth our prayer time, and believe God and part the waters! The waters rolled back for Moses. God didn't just part that sea. Moses parted that sea by the power of God.
People were amazed in Jesus' day. They marveled that God had given such power unto men. It is "Christ in you, the hope of glory." We won't be glorified. We will love Jesus and glorify him. It will no longer be you living; it will be Christ living in you and overflowing. You can have total discernment and total victory. Think about it. What can God do? You will never look at another television set as long as you live after that because there won't be anything interesting on! All you have to do is look up to heaven. There will be the biggest vision you ever saw. How big a screen do you want? You can stretch it over from the Little Dipper to the Big Dipper. You can just watch heaven and look over that cloud of witnesses and talk to them. Howdy, Elijah, how are you doing this morning? Paul said he saw things he was not allowed to talk about. John and Daniel did too.
The church is already supposed to be the ground and pillar of the truth. If we be a pillar in the temple of our God, the pillar can be seen here to witness the blessing of the Lord. I want to provoke you to emulation to get into the deep things of God. There is scripture to back all of this up. Is it possible? God seeketh such to worship him. "God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth."
1 John 5:4, "For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." All that get in the Spirit will overcome this world. All the workings of the Holy Ghost overcome everything in this world. Jesus did not send a defeated Spirit. He didn't send you the spirit of fear. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." That mind is of Christ. He said, ". . . this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith." Don't you want to know that secret? He that overcometh will receive a crown of life. "To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne." "He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son." "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God. . . ." We overcome by our faith. Some think that is too simple. Well, Brother, how do I get that faith? "But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Ghost."
All things are possible, only believe!
Father, I thank you for the victory. I thank you, Lord, that you've already sent the instrument that will draw us to you like magnets that attract. You sent forth our side into us by the Holy Ghost. Now, we are translated even as we pray and believe God in the Spirit to the side of Christ. Let every soul grasp this word and accept it as the word of God. Help them to pray and stir up that gift, Lord, that will actually and literally translate them to the place Jesus prepared. This hour the church must come into this place that she be caught up. In this last day and hour we are believing for this to be our victory, even our faith. Lord, help us to draw near to you and we know you will draw near to us. Help us to walk before you perfectly. Be in us, in the name of Jesus.
