Living Hope Fellowship Church...Sermons From the Pastor
by Pastor Kevin Badgley
If you don't have a Bible, get one! The King James Version is the only one there is. If you get something else I want you to line your bird cage with it, but do so with it upside down so the thing won't read it and go to hell. AMEN? There is only one Bible.
Turn in your Bible today, to Psalm 47. GLORY TO GOD! I am convinced that the church world and even the true church this day and hour, has lost something that they still have the capacity to have and to do. I'll say that again, slower. I believe that the church has lost the ability to do this one thing, and yet they have the ability to recover it in the twinkling of an eye. This thing is their shout! Oh, God, it's going to be a loud sermon again today. You better believe it, because when you get loud in God the Devil's ears start hurting. Can you say amen? Why do you think the Devil sends the deaf spirit? Psalm 47 says this in verse 1, A. . . "O clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph."
What does it say? Speak with a loud voice? It says Shout, Shout, Shout, . . . shout unto God with the voice of triumph." Hallelujah! It can be done before the battle or after the battle. Let me tell you something; if you don't shout before the battle and as you go into the battle, you won't have anything to shout about when you get out of the battle, because you're going to lose the battle!
The Bible gives us a command that the church of the living God should be shouting unto God. Most of them today are shouting at God. God declares that he wants you to shout unto God with the voice of triumph, not the voice of disgust; not the voice of melancholy; not the voice of Oh, why me, Oh Lord; not the voice of Oh God, where are you at? He wants you to shout with voice of triumph, and say Glory to God, Glory to God, I thank God for the victory over the thing that's trying to destroy me.
God said SHOUT, and he didn't say to shout limp wristed. He said to shout with the voice of triumph. Amen. A lot of people are shouting today, but it ain't with the voice of triumph! They're just making a bunch of noise, but I'm believing God to anoint the shout so people can get the victory again.
Now there are some places you just won't shout. Unfortunately, it's even tough in church. Some come and sit in church and say, I ain't shouting in front of them. They'll think I am a fool. Or they may say, They'll give me a hard time, I'll shout at home. Yea, you will. . . . You go home and try shouting. How many shouts do you shout at home? I didn't say at your kid, wife, or husband. I said at the devil. Come on. How many shouts at home at the devil? Say, Devil, get off my back! I rebuke you in the name of Jesus! I bind you off of the neighbor. I bind you off the husband or wife and children! I bind you off of the church! I bind you off the preacher! Thank God for that!
Do you pray like that? I think it's high time we started shouting unto God. I think it's high time we started shouting unto God and kicking the devil out! People have lost their shout and gotten so feeble voiced, you know. I'm soft spoken and I can't shout. You press in and get a hold of Jesus and he'll give you a shout! Amen! I believe God will give you a shout.
You know what a shout is? According to this particular instance, it's the voice of triumph. I believe God will give you the voice of triumph. How many would like to have that? But you ain't going to have that shout, and you ain't going to have that voice of triumph until you start praising the Lord in advance for the things he said he would do. If he said he would do it, if he said he would deliver you, if he said he would heal you, if he said he would bring revival, if he said he would do all these things, then glory to God he will do it. Do you believe it? Then why don't you shout? Why don't you praise the Lord? Why don't you glorify him for what he said he's going to do? It doesn't matter if you ain't seen it yet. All that matters is that God said he's going to do it and that you're fixing to see it. Can you say Hallelujah? That is the shout of a voice of triumph unto God. God is looking for it.
We kicked the doors open one time and started shouting and praising the Lord. I believe if they had been listening down there at the Spur they would have heard us up here. It's a cinch whenever we were working up here, building on this building, we could hear them down there. Kudnthunk, kudnthunk, kudnthunk thunk thunk thunk. Amen? Ever hear those cars go by? Kabloom, babom, babom. They're not afraid to turn the music up, and they're not afraid to shout with what little shout they got.
My God gave me a shout that can be heard all over heaven and all over hell. It's a shout of triumph. At the name of Jesus every devil trembles. What if you shouted the name of Jesus? What if you shouted the name of Jesus with the voice of triumph? Hell's foundation would be shaken to it's very foundation. When you start shouting like you're supposed to with the voice of triumph God ordained for you, you're gonna see the devil flee. You're gonna see the victory in your life and you're gonna see the enemy go in Jesus name! He declares "O, clap your hands, all ye people; shout unto God with the voice of triumph." Most of them are clamping their hands on their head going "Oh, God, I've given all this for you! I've sacrificed all this for you, oh, God, and here I am up against a wall." You've lost your shout. Have you heard that advertisement on TV, "Shout it out!" Shout it out! I'm going to show you in the Bible where they did. Oh, Glory Hallelujah! .
Man can't stand but about 130 decibels, they say, before he gets ear damage. I dare say the devil can't stand that much before he gets ear damage. You start shouting, and it's multiplied in the Spirit. He cannot stand to stay; he'll have to flee! One of the ways you can resist and do resist the devil is to Shout unto God. The devil has got to go because the devil cannot inhabit the things of God. He can only come in after the shout's gone out. Have you ever noticed that somebody that used to shout unto God is now shouting at everybody else because the devil's in? Oh, that just went up and down somebody . . . more than one.
They shout all right! They fuss and they fume. They argue, and they bicker, and they carry on. They're just chewing and gnawing all the time, and they're just about as happy as a gut shot polar bear. Do you know why? They have got the wrong shout. They lost their real shout and they got the devil! I said they lost the shout unto God and they have got a devil hounding on them, working on them, and chewing on them! They're chewing back, because they can't shout! They won't shout and say, Devil, I rebuke you! Get thee behind me, Satan. They won't do it, 'cause they're afraid of what the neighbor might say.
What would your neighbor say if you started shouting? Thank God I live in the country! That's what some of you thought! I'm going to tell you something! You start shouting unto God and they'll hear you. That just means you've got to shout louder. Oh, Hallelujah! I'm getting free; you can get free later. Gods wanting you to get your shout back. He wants us to get our shout back! You said, "Well, I can't. My throats messed up." The reason your throats messed up is you've lost your shout. Since you're not using it for anything better, God sees no sense having it healed either.
Shout unto God with the voice of triumph. Psalm 5:11 "But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy. . . ." If you trust God you're supposed to shout for joy. Are you listening? If you trust God you're supposed to shout for joy!
" . . let them ever shout for joy. . . ." It says let. It's an act of your free will to come on, and shout unto God with a voice of triumph, and get the devil off your back.
A lot of people say, (yawn) Praise the Lord. The mouth is wider in yawning than it is in shouting! All those that put their trust in the Lord are supposed to shout. If you trust God, then shout unto God with the voice of triumph! Hallelujah!
I did that one day in Grand Chain. I did; I felt an unction from the Lord. The Lord said SHOUT. I said, "What?" He said, DO YOU WANT ME TO SHOUT? God can shout too.
Did you ever notice people that can't hear? You can shout and they still don't hear it? That's because they quit using their ears. You know what happens when you quit using something? You lose the effect of it. You lose the ability to use it. If you quit using your hand, it gets all limp. If you quit using your arm, it gets all limp. If you quit using your ears, they'll go deaf, so I thought I'd better use mine. I'd like to retain what hearing I got left, and I said, "Shout here?" The Lord said, YES. I said, "Now?" He said, YES. I was trying to think of any other questions I could ask him before I did. Isn't that like us? We make a list of whys, whos, hows, and what and make sure God is right. Amen? I'm standing there; I'm just about at the little alley between the Post Office and the other building standing there, and I said, All right. "Hallelujah!" I did, and it was about that loud. I looked up, and there wasn't a soul on the street. The Lord said, ONE OF THESE DAYS I'LL FILL IT AND YOU CAN DO IT AGAIN. Hallelujah!
That means there are going to be people there to hear the shout, but they're looking to hear a shout. How are people going to come to something if they can't hear it? How are they going to come to something if somebody doesn't command the victory? How are they going to come to something if it is limp-wristed? They need to hear a shout of triumph?
Have you ever heard anybody get excited in the store and say, "Ooooh!", like that? You and everybody in the place looks around. "What's the matter with you? You some kind of nut?" People sure do look and listen, don't they? Have you ever seen people when they win something on TV? They shout and squeal and they ain't a bit afraid that millions are watching.
When the Lord blesses me with the anointing I know he's about to send, (and I'm going to do it in advance as I pray for the victory), I'm going to do some shouting. I won't have to be next to you for you to hear me! Amen?
I believe God is going to put a shout back into his people, or they ain't going! God said that he would come forth with a shout. 1 The. 4:16, "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:" There's going to be a trump, and there's going to be a shout. The voice of the archangel of God will sound, and suddenly somebody is going to be changed. Who's that? The church. Right after they shout, they're changed in a moment, in a twinkling of an eye.
How many have ever shouted when you've had this experience? You've felt the oppression and the depression of the enemy. The devil said, "You'd better be quiet; you'd better be quiet; you're going to make a spectacle of yourself. You know you don't feel a shout coming on." . . . and he set on you. Why? Because he tries to keep you from shouting. When you disobeyed the devil and said yes to God, and you started to shout, "Yes, Yes", what happened? You were changed in that moment, in that twinkling of an eye, when you decided, obeyed, and did the shout! You suddenly felt oppression, depression, and the devil lift off, didn't you?
Some people say, "Well, I don't know." Well, maybe you need to shout again. I believe there are a lot of people who need to shout again! They used to shout, they've shouted before, but they ain't shouting now. They've had it preached out of them. I'm trying to preach it back into you. Oh, somebody do something! Hallelujah!
I believe God wants to put a shout in people. They say, "Well, it takes all my air. You blow it fine gossiping during the week. You blow it fine chewing and gnawing at your family members. You do it fine talking about yourself with poor me, melancholy and other things. You do fine discussing politics and religion and all this other that people get into during the week. Why don't you use it for something real? Why don't you use it for something for God? Why don't you shout yes to God and shout, Hallelujah, in Jesus name!?
The reason you're out of air is that you've used it for something else all week long. I don't care what you think. The kid's getting fanatical. I've been looking around for so long for somebody crazier than I am. It's hard to find. I saw a man on a video today. This guy was as cool as a cucumber while he was talking about some of the idiotic stuff that's going on. He talked about how people are sucking it up as being godly, when it's not. He sat there and he goes, Anybody with two brain cells banging together in their head and they thought at all, would know this was of the devil. I love the way he nailed that. I'm sitting there going, Yes, yes! You can ask my wife. I started going, Yes, yes, yes! Somebody else is just as hard nosed, crazy, and clothed in rags as I am.
Preachers are so dignified anymore that they can't shout! If they did, their faces would get red. All the veins would pop out on their necks. That's not cool; it makes you sweat! Glory to God, it's a cleansing of the body as well as the soul! Can you say amen? It isn't a problem of having to learn the language. It's the fact that we've got to shout unto God and at the devil, and say yes to Jesus, and no to Satan, and believe God again. Why are you so loud? Because I'm shouting unto God, and I'm running the devil off of you. Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
I'm going to run through the superstore one of these days, over in Paducah . They'll say, Sir, do you want a shopping cart? I'll say, No, I want a shouting march. Hallelujah. I want to shout and praise the Lord! I listened to a tape the other night about ol' Jack Cole. This man's dead and gone. Jack and his Momma (she'd just got saved that night) went to one of the first all night supermarkets that was out in the '60s. She came up to a can of tomatoes and said, Jack, do you know what this red on this tomato can reminds me of? The blood of Jesus that washed away my sins tonight! She began to praise the Lord and he said, That thing set me off, and I began to shout, and to run the aisles, and the whole thing shut down. The cash registers quit working; the people stopped buying and watched an old woman and a boy shout. Why? They were shouting, and it wasn't in order. Shout in a supermarket? I don't even shout in church You've got that right, and you're just as dead as a cockroach in the basement. Oh, Hallelujah. Do you still love me? That's all right, I'm still going to shout anyway.
You've lost your shout. Some of you never had a shout, you didn't know it was necessary to shout. Oh, yes it is! God gives us a command to shout unto God. How do you get buzzards on a carcass to flee if you don't shout at them and clap your hands? There are buzzards on a carcass. It ain't quite dead but it is going. This ends barbecued; what about yours? Done gotten green and rotten. That's the church: a dead skunk in the middle of the road stinking to high heaven. You know I'm hitting it.
What if somebody came by and said, Get off of that carcass you foul devil in Jesus name! That thing would go flying off! Then go in there and pour in the oil and the wine and start to preach to that thing and say, Get up, come on, shout, move, believe God again, and let's get with it. Let's do something. If you die trying, then glory be to God, but if you sit on it, you'll go to hell. Believe God to touch you again. Shout yes! Shout yes! Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah!
You ain't supposed to come here and watch me shout. You're supposed to shout yourself. I ain't got nothing to shout about. Start shouting and you will. You don't think so? Your neighbor will be in your face in a minute saying, What are you doing? Then what are you going to do, shirk away? No. You're going to say, I'm shouting unto God with the voice of triumph. Then don't say anymore. They'll say, What for? You can answer, Because the devil's gone off of me. Would you like to know Jesus? It would be a beautiful witnessing tool wouldn't it?
Jack Cole said when he came to himself after several minutes of doing that in the supermarket, the old meat man was over there on the counter. He was wiping his face on a bloody apron, crying and weeping, and saying, You go to that holy roller church, don't you? He said, Uh-huh. That old meat man said, I got to get a hold of that. I got to get it. My wife got that thing three nights ago and I haven't been able to live with her since. I've got to get a hold of him. He said the next night that butcher came forward and he received Jesus right there in the saw dust. If you'll start shouting, it will pull the devils not only off of you but off of those round about you. Hallelujah!
What's the best advertisement? Did you ever notice what the programs do? You turn on a program and it's going on like this: it's just lah-de-dah- de-duh lust, sex, and violence in a suitcase you're getting loaded up with the devil. After a while, I got to get you in the floor and get you to spit them out, plop-plop-plop. Plop plop, fizz fizz, oh what a devil it is . . .
Then the commercial comes on, right? What do you notice about a commercial? They turn it up twice as loud, don't they? I'm telling you today this is a word from your sponsor! You got to buy this shout again! You got to get back in line again! You got to get with Jesus again and come on, and shout unto God.
Used to, old time Pentecostals could hardly get a word in edgewise. They were busy rejoicing and praising God. The power of God would hit and the preacher would finally say, Well, Glory to God! I think it's time to pray. I wasn't raised Pentecost, but I can tell you one thing, I can see in the eyes and souls of some that you need to get your shout back! When I start shouting and praising the Lord, that's the power of God, not the foolishness of men. That's not witchcraft of the devil, that's the power of God, and he said if you'll shout you'll get the victory. God is in the glory of his praises.
What would happen if Vernon started shouting on that cliff up there at Whitehill? He'd cause an avalanche. He'd say, Mister Cap-blaster get out of the way. I'm going to glorify God, and we're going to take this section out over here. Stay with me, I'm going in the spirit now while I'm talking to you. I'm taking a whole section out over there, I'm going to say, Hallelujah, and that's coming down. And down it comes, tons at a time. If there happens to be a devil sitting underneath it, he's underneath it!
You go into the hospital and it says, Quiet Please! (Devil at work). I'm often amused that you might go into the funeral home, and someone may say, Quiet Please, dead might hear. What if you went in and said, Hallelujah! Sixteen people pop up. The funeral director would have to do something. Do you believe God would do it? My Bible says at the point of the rapture that there's going to be a shout before the people can leave. If you're not shouting with the same voice as the shout of the archangel you're not leaving. You can stay down here and mamby-pamby with the Antichrist. Not me, glory to God!
The elder messed up today. He said, Preach me something smooth. He says that every time. I said, Brother, you're not sleeping today, cause we're going to SHOOOUUUT! That's why people go to sleep. You look over at the neighbor and you say, They've gone to sleep. They won't even have the dignity of listening to the preacher after he's fasted, prayed, and sought God. But you won't shout to keep them awake! Amen? You won't shout loud enough to keep them awake. Well, that's the preachers job. Evidently, evidently . . .
Hallelujah! Glory, Glory, Glory! When I come out of church my ears are ringing. They need to ring. You've had something else ringing for a long time. I can show you in Psalms where the ringing in the ears is a devil. I can't hear you for the ringing! He shouted too loud today. You start shouting for God and you won't be able to hear what the devil has to say for a change.
When he starts talking you say, Glory to God! Praise the Lord! I thank God for the victory over you Satan! He's got to go. There are two reasons: (1.) The decibel level got entirely too loud, and (2.) He can't get a word in edgewise, because you're so busy praising God. It takes more effort to shout than it does to say, Praise the Lord.
I'll show you how you can translate by shouting. Lets read in Joshua 6:1-5 & 20. Joshua and the children of Israel had just crossed over Jordan. God parted the Jordan at its highest banks, they walked across, and came to the Canaan land. They had a choice of either sitting there and have the Canaanites eat them for breakfast, or go on and take the land from the Canaanites as God had ordained them to do. That is just like you are now.
Joshua 6:1-5. (1) Now Jericho was straitly shut up because of the children of Israel: none went out, and none came in. (2) And the Lord said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof,(that's the devil) and the mighty men of valor. (That's the principalities, and the devils.) (3) And ye shall compass the city, all ye men of war, and go round about the city once. Thus shalt thou do six days. (That was the same length of time it took to create the earth, the world, and all the heavens.) (4) And seven priests (likened unto the seven spirits of God mentioned in Revelations) shall bear before the ark seven trumpets of rams' horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the city seven times, and the priests shall blow with the trumpets. (Quiet assembly, right?) (5) And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram's horn, and when ye hear the sound of the trumpet, all the people shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the city shall fall down flat, and the people shall ascend up every man straight before him."
The wall won't come down until you shout! You're not going to get any farther, or higher, or translate, or go in the rapture, or anything else until you start getting your shout. You'll ascend straight up. It won't be any of this weaving road back and forth; it's going to be straight up. Straight and narrow is the way. How do you get there? You shout your way to victory! God gave them a command. He said to compass the city not say a word. When you've compassed the city long enough, it's high time you start shouting, and praising the Lord, and believing God. It said "with a long blast" didn't it? What if you shout and it doesn't fall down? What do you do? It said a long blast, a long time. They shouted, and shouted, and shouted until the thing had to fall because God said it would fall.
It didn't say one shout. It said when they make a long blast. It meant a long blast meant a series of shouts that would continue to echo against that wall, hammer against the walls of hell, hammer against Satan and his kingdom, hammer against the things that so easily beset you. When you start shouting and praising God, you're hammering that thing back into the pit, and God will give you the victory and you will not have to ascend over the wall, you'll walk right over the wall.
A lot of people would be shouting, Hey, slow down. That's what they'd shout. That's what they shout in the church today. Hey, slow down, I've heard that for years, I can't keep up. Keep shouting, keep shouting, keep shouting! I look over my shoulder, and say Keep shouting! Hallelujah. I tell the ones that are way behind, even the ones that are having trouble going. I even tell the ones that can see the way you just came the thickness, the brush, the briers, and the mind. If you keep on shouting they can follow your shout. Glory to God, they can follow your shout. through it and it seems like they can't keep up, keep shouting. They'll find you sooner or later. How? How are they going to find you? They will find you by the shout that you've got. You're giving it so they will find the way.
Joshua 6:20, So the people shouted when the priests blew with the trumpets: (So I'm doing now) and it came to pass, when the people heard the sound of the trumpet, and the people shouted with a great shout, that the wall fell down flat, so that the people went up into the city, every man straight before him, and they took the city.
Why did the wall fall down flat? So the people could go up. "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31.
But you're going to have to shout, you're going to have to shout. You ain't going to go quietly to heaven. After all, the dead are going to rise first. It takes a shout to raise the dead. I said it takes a shout to raise the dead! Evidently most of the church world doesn't think they're dead, cause they ain't shouting. I don't care who they are. I've heard some Pentecostals shout and carry on, but they ain't very loud yes, victory no. I don't feel squat, except I feel flesh.
When you start shouting, and praising the Lord, and start saying, I believe God anyway!, and you start saying, Hallelujah, then God will meet you where you're at. He'll pull that wall down flat. You can walk across it and say, Glory to God! one more time. God said he'd take you up. That's how you ascend up. That's how you get closer to God. That's how you knock down the obstacles in the way. You say, Oh, I'm, laden down with so much! SHOOOUUT! Get the thing off! Just anywhere? Doesn't the devil put it on you just anywhere? How did Jesus pray? Is the preacher you used to listen to your example, or is Jesus your example?
How did Jesus pray? John 11:43, And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth. I believe if they hadn't rolled the stone away it would have rolled itself away. It would have went whoomp cause that's the shout of triumph, and even the dead, when they hear that shout, will rise! They will Riiissse because somebody from glory shouted back!
One time the air was super clear at our house that we used to have out in the country. Nicky was over there and I could hear him talking to his bird dogs over there. I was a teenager, he was up in his early twenties. I was over there and it was real super still. I was standing in the driveway and I could hear him talking to his dogs across the field. It was three quarters of a mile, obstacles around the way and everything else, only those who know the distance could appreciate it. I thought, I can hear him talking.
I shouted, Hey, Nick! I thought he was going to have one of two reactions. I thought he was going to fall down. Knowing what I know now he probably would have gotten saved. He might have thought God was calling him out of heaven or something. I said, Hey, Nick! I heard him up there talking, and I heard him stop. The sound got there. It takes a little bit of eleven hundred feet (1100) per second in this realm. I heard him pause and it was super quiet. I thought, He thinks he's heard from God! How far off can we be? So, I did it again because one shout wasn't good enough. I said one shout wasn't good enough! I said one shout wasn't good enough. One on Sunday morning, one on Sunday night, one on Wednesday, and one maybe on Friday night if you come, ain't good enough. I said, Hey, Nick! the second time. and he goes, really profound, What? I thought that was as good an answer as any. Ain't this neat? . . . What? That's what he said; I'm not lying to you. He over passed the fact that we were able to communicate. I mean, we're almost a mile away at that angle. There are trees and everything else in between us! I mean it was just unbelievable, anyway. Being able to talk like this. . . . Oh, yeah!
After that what are you going to do? Do you keep talking like that? How do you end the conversation? You know how you have trouble ending the conversation sometimes, Well, we got it started, now what do we do? I say you'd do well never to end conversation with God. Of course Nick and I jabbered a little bit, and I said, Talk to you later. . . . Okay. If I had whispered to him, no matter how clear the air was; if I'd talked in a normal tone of voice, no matter how clear and open that channel was; he wouldn't have heard me! Or, he might have heard something, but he couldn't make out the words. That would be as bad as if he'd never heard anything. Do you understand me? I had to shout to get his attention! God can hear the devil think on the backside of Hell. He doesn't have a shortness of hearing.
In Isaiah 59:2 we find out something about God's hearing. ABut your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear. What if you're talking to somebody else, and your son or your daughter is pulling on your leg? They're saying, Hey, hey, hey Dad, Dad, Dad, Dad! Got your attention didn't he? When you start shouting and praising the Lord, you can do it! I know some people that can't hardly shout. I believe God will give you a voice to shout. I believe God will give you a voice to shout. If you use it for the glory of God!
I found mine has gotten much stronger since I went Pentecost. Didn't need it before. You go Pentecost and you've got to have it. Hallelujah! Glory to God! I found out I sweat more, and in more than one way. Glory! That child got your attention. Why? Because you were busy. There wasn't anything wrong with that, but he wanted your attention! He still had to say, Hey, Dad! Some of you in here need to say, Hey, Dad! I know I'm backslid, but, God, come back to me! You've lost your shout. When you start shouting, you're going to get his attention. You say, But God can hear me; he knows my heart. I hear that all the time. God knows my heart. Oh, yes he does, and it's deceitful above all things. That's why he doesn't listen to you. That's why you don't get any answers. That's why you don't feel anything when you pray. God knows your heart and can even hear the thoughts and intents of the heart.
When you turn your face toward the things of God, and you start wrestling, fighting, and warring against the flesh, that's your biggest enemy. The devil is not your biggest enemy; you are. I said you are! You've got so many needs and you've got so many wants. Pretty soon we've got so many shackles, and chains, and bondages, and thorns that we can't even think any more. When you pray, you've got all the faith of a potato! You lay hands on the sick and it's like laying hands on a corn cob . . . without the corn! You need to get down and say, Oh God, God, be merciful to me a sinner (I'm talking to saints too). You see, if you sin you're a sinner. He that committeth sin is of the devil. I John 3:8. If you get down and you go, Oh God, Oh God, set me free, set me free! there is no answer. You say, God, help me Lord! You'll get rid of all those inhibitions! You'll get rid of all that pride, because you're crying out to God.
Doesn't the Bible say to cry out to God? Didn't the prophets cry out to God? Moses would fall on his face on a regular basis. That must have been humiliating for his congregation. What if I fell down on my face a lot? You better get in your Bible. That's the way Moses was most of the time. He didn't have a board up his back! If you have a board up your back, it runs up past the head. You can't shout with your head locked, but if you'll start shouting, Glory, it'll crack, and then you can go Hallelujah! It'll break,
Thank you Jesus, it will loose, and you'll start dancing like you used to. You'll start dancing like you saw in your prayer and you said, Oh, God, I'll never do that." Wouldn't it be awful if God said, YOU'LL NEVER MAKE HEAVEN. What if all you had to do to make heaven tomorrow was to dance before the Lord today? Would you do it? Well, sure I would! Well, I'm telling you today. You're going to have to start shouting if you want to make heaven.
Instead of shouting with pain, and anguish, and wretchedness, let's start shouting with a voice of triumph! Jesus said in Matthew 11:28, "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." John 7:37, In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
When the people began to shout and to praise the Lord, the glory and the power of God came in the new temple that Solomon dedicated before God. The cloud came in and the porters couldn't even stand. The preachers couldn't even preach. They couldn't stand to minister because of the glory of the cloud. They were shouting to God and they were praising and thanking God for what he had done.
Are you going to shout with me? Can you say hallelujah and praise the Lord?
Father, we praise you today for the victory. God, restore unto your servants the joy of their salvation. Bring the shout back to those who knew better. God, bring the shout to those who never knew before! God, give them all an anointing to shout and praise God! God, set every captive free. Hallelujah! Go ahead and praise him!
