TAKE HOLD OF GOD’S PROMISES
by Pastor Kevin Badgley
1 Corinthians 2:9 says, “But as it is written, Eye hath
not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart
of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love
him.”
Has God ever answered your prayers?
When it happened, what did it do for your faith?
Yes, it was greatly helped and your love to God soared
into the heavenlies.
We read of all the great and mighty things God did for
His people in the Word of God, but I am most interested in
BEFORE God answered their prayers.
I look for the faith, attitude, and works of these
people who had their needs met by a miracle.
As they waited on God, how did they behave?
What went through their mind?
How did they wrestle with their doubts and fears?
How did they overcome?
Sometimes the biggest challenge to their miracle was
not as much the need itself as the war of faith that went on
in their soul until God moved.
It is at these times of waiting and believing God that
we find out where we really are spiritually.
Try to understand that the victory in these areas are
as important as the miracle.
Why?
Because once we are stedfast in our faith with God in these
things, we have an open door to heaven for future miracles.
A great door is opened to you.
There will be many adversaries, but that proves the
existence of God’s treasure laid up for you!
The thief doesn’t come to steal something that doesn’t
exist! He doesn’t
come to take that which is of no value!
Behold, the great things God has for us to receive!
How do we do it?
Pray it down, and if necessary take it by force from
the enemy that tries to stop us!
Amen!
You must understand that the greater the miracle
needed, the greater the devil will try to hinder you from
receiving it.
Great and glorious things of God are preceeded by great fights
of faith first.
This is where the battles are won.
Tear down the strongholds of the enemy, and spoil his
house! Enter into
God’s gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.
Contend for your rights as a child of God.
Bring the enemy down for others who are weak, or
unlearned, or wavering in their walk with God.
YOU set the standard for God, His witness, wherever you
go. As people see
your place, your faith, your faith in God, they are moved to
believe and serve Him in a greater way.
Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?
YES! By
you! Isaiah 43:12
says, “. . .
ye are my witnesses, saith the LORD, that I am God.”
Hallelujah!
Galatians 6:9 says, “And let us not be weary in well
doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we
faint not.”
PROMISES
Abraham ".
. . staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but
was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully
persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to
perform. And
therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness."
Romans 4:20-22
"For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the
will of God, ye might
receive the promise." Hebrews 10:36
"And this is the promise that he hath promised us,
even
eternal life."
1 John 2:25
