CAN GOD?

Preface

(faith, God’s provision)

God will lay you out one meal at a time.  You can’t look down that table and see another one coming, because He’s a God of faith.  If you pray and believe God, then you will get another one.

You have to eat the spinach, the broccoli, and the white beans!  Don’t pick on the barbeque and the chicken only.  Whatever God puts on that plate, you’ve got to eat!  If you don’t, you aren’t getting another meal!

I’m talking about spiritual things.  There are certain things that you are going to have to believe and do out of the Word of God in order to get saved, healed, and delivered.  If you are walking in the strength of God from what He fed you, then you will have strength against the devil.

CAN GOD?

by Pastor Kevin Badgley

Do you believe God for miracles in your life?  Jesus said in Matthew 21:22, “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”

God desires that you be a witness for Him.  If you walk according to His laws, God will even back up what you say.  Many people think that God will back up whatever you say, but no, you’ve got some living in God to do yet.  Proverbs 3:5-6 says, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.  In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”  God will direct you; He will go with you, and before you, and He will be your rearward.

If you believe that God can meet your needs, then you don’t have to remain the same after reading this information.  Proverbs 29:1 says, “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”  If you like the way you are, maybe you shouldn’t read this.  If you don’t accept the truth, you will be worse than you were before, because you will be a little harder toward God.

Matthew 11:28 says, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”  He will give you rest from the devil!

Some say they don’t want to go to church because it’s full of hypocrites.  It is better to spend a couple of hours on Sunday morning, and maybe a couple of nights through the week with them, rather than eternity in hell with them.  You could be the one to pray them through, if you would get real with God yourself!

Do you believe that God can furnish a table in the wilderness?  This area is a pit and a wilderness!  There is no power or real holiness in this area, except for a few saints who live for God!  This is the seat of Satan; it is the “Bible Belt”!  People here have heard about God, and they talk about God, but they don’t know God.  It is high time we waken out of sleep; Jesus is standing at the door!

About thirty years ago a little girl went out under the power of God, and she saw an angel with a trumpet stuck to his mouth.  It was the trump of Gabriel that sounds the Rapture, and it was only about a couple of inches from his lips!  Around 1989 the Lord passed a thing before me which made my hair stand up!  I saw an angel with a trump in his mouth and lungs full of air!  All he has to do is let it out, and it will sound!  It’s that close!  Jesus is at the door, ready to say, Come on in, my Bride, and be shut up with me until the Marriage Supper of the Lamb of the most High God.

God desires to prepare you a table!  He is fixing one in heaven now!  Jesus said in John 14:2, “In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.”  Jesus was a carpenter on earth, and He knows how to build.  He can tear down stuff that isn’t worth anything and rebuild it with something from God.

1 Corinthians 3:11 says, “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.”  Don’t base your foundation on denomination.  God bases His church, the pillar and ground of the truth, on Christ alone.

Can there be revival in this pit?  Can He furnish a table in the wilderness for those who pass by and call out?  Can they eat at that table and get fed?  We need some waiters and some cooks.  Is anybody volunteering? You aren’t going to have very many for supper if you don’t cook, send invitations, and set the table.

There have to be some people preparing food!  There are a lot of restaurants with crosses on them, but most churches aren’t seeking God like they should!  They are too busy filling their bellies rather than their souls with God!  We need true revival in this wilderness of sin to make ready a people prepared for the Lord, so that God will be glorified!

Psalm 78:19 says, “Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?  Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?”

These are God’s people who saw supernatural miracles!  People have told me time and time again, I don’t understand these people.  These people were crazy.  They had no faith at all.  They had a pillar of fire by night and a cloud by day.  God divided the Red Sea for them.  Moses just spoke to the rock and a living water spring came running out.  Their shoes didn’t get old, and they still rebelled against God!

Some have ministered today with healings, signs, and wonders, but people still rebel against God!  They don’t believe God is going to provide for them.

Hebrews 10:38 says, “Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him.”  Habakkuk 2:4 says, “. . . the just shall live by his faith.”  Jesus is the author and the finisher of your faith.

God wants us to get the sin out.  Then we can perform signs, wonders, and miracles that others might believe, and the church will be filled.  God has called us to fill the table with guests!  He guarantees that if we will follow His will, signs shall follow.  Mark 16:17-18 says, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”

When it is time to eat, most of you can take your dinner out of the refrigerator or freezer, and there will be food left with potential for several more meals.

God does things somewhat differently.  He’s going to lay you out one meal at a time.  I’m talking about things of faith, blessings, and promises of God.  He will lay out a meal for you to partake of and receive, but you aren’t going to look down that table and see another one coming, because He’s a God of faith.  He wants you to believe that it’s coming even when you can’t see it.

You can open up the refrigerator that belongs to God, and every time that you open the door, it’s got one meal.  It is not like Luke 12:19 which says, “And I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast much goods laid up for many years; take thine ease, eat, drink, and be merry.”  God called him a fool!  Verse 20 says, “But God said unto him, Thou fool, this night thy soul shall be required of thee: then whose shall those things be, which thou hast provided?”  This happened because he was covetous, and he wasn’t living by faith; he was living by sight!  The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:7, “(For we walk by faith, not by sight:)”

The table has one meal on it.  If you eat that one, and pray and believe God, then you will get another one, and not until!  There is something else that I have to tell you.  You have to finish the plate!  You have to eat your spinach, and you have to eat your beans and broccoli!  Don’t pick on the barbeque and the chicken only.  You’ve got to eat the old white beans.  You’ve got to eat it all!  Whatever God puts on that plate, you’ve got to eat it!  If you don’t, you aren’t getting another meal!

God has prepared a table in this wilderness.  The plate is sitting in front of you!  Some say that it got cold, but how long has He been calling you to supper?  It isn’t because it wasn’t hot when you first got it.  Jesus has been calling, Come to supper.  Come to supper.  I’ve been trying to get you to eat.  Come on and eat, and you say, No, I’ll be there in a minute.  I’ll be there after a while, because I’ve got to watch a T.V. program.  I have a magazine to read, and I’m behind three days on the paper.

You may not like everything that is on that plate, but God fixed it for you, and if you don’t eat it, you aren’t getting any more!  You don’t “order” at God’s table.  He gives it to you, and you eat it or die, because that is all that you are getting!

You say, Well, I’ll eat everything else, but I won’t eat the broccoli.  You wait for the next meal, but there is nothing coming down!  You say, Lord, I don’t feel you.  He says, Eat your broccoli.  You say, But, Lord, I don’t like broccoli.  He says, Quit smoking.  Eat your broccoli.  Quit chewing tobacco.  Eat your spinach.  Quit cussing.  Eat your beans.  You say, But, God, I want to be healed.  I want to be blessed.  I want the Holy Ghost.   He says, I will give you the steak directly; first, eat the broccoli and the beans.  It is all good for you!  You don’t pick out what you want and eat it; you have got to eat it all!

God has already prepared a table in the wilderness!  There are certain things that you are going to have to believe and do out of the Word of God, in order to get saved, healed, and delivered.  This is before you can expect the steak and the ice cream!  I’m talking about spiritual things.

Psalm 78:19-25 says, “Yea, they spake against God; they said, Can God furnish a table in the wilderness?  Behold, he smote the rock, that the waters gushed out, and the streams overflowed; can he give bread also? can he provide flesh for his people?  Therefore the LORD heard this, and was wroth: so a fire was kindled against Jacob, and anger also came up against Israel; Because they believed not in God, and trusted not in his salvation:  Though he had commanded the clouds from above, and opened the doors of heaven, And had rained down manna upon them to eat, and had given them of the corn of heaven.  Man did eat angels' food: he sent them meat to the full.”

You say, Oh, if I was eating angel’s food, I wouldn’t want for anything else.  God’s people in the Old Testament griped about angel’s food.  People haven’t changed.  God has been dealing with you all your life, in one fashion or another!  God wants His people to get back in the altar!

It may make you sick a little bit, but keep on eating that stuff you don’t want, and pretty soon you are going to like it.  At first you may hate hard preaching, but then you find that it burns off all the worldly junk and “religion” that tries to stick on you!

Acts 2:17 says, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:”

Can God do the miraculous?  I’m looking for the time that I walk off the platform and just keep on walking.  God has told me that it is coming.  You might be talking to me, and I’ll go off in the Spirit to somewhere in Philadelphia.  I might be praying for someone saying, You devil, come out of this man.  I may be preaching to that heathen city!  At the same time, my body will be here preaching some wild message to you!  You say that it is not possible, but Elijah did it, Phillip did it, Moses did it, and Jesus did it!

God said in Hebrews 1:7, “And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.”  I like being on fire for God!  When I get through burning, there won’t be any flesh; there won’t be any world; there won’t be anything fighting between me and God!

God told me that when I got my flesh under the blood of Jesus completely, 100 percent, there won’t be a devil in hell that will prosper against me!  Not a devil in hell will be able to stand before me and have any power.  I will speak the word, and they will bend the knee to the name of Jesus.  Praise the Lord!  Thank you, Jesus!

I’m grouchy sometimes, because I’ve been eating my broccoli.  Have you ever talked to a kid after he has eaten his spinach?  He might say, Oh, get away from me!  You may say, Well, what’s wrong with you?  He answers, Mom made me eat my spinach.  Well, God made me eat MY spinach.  I didn’t know how bad I needed it!  You know what?  I kind of like it now, and I asked if I could have a second helping.

When you get saved, all of heaven knows it, and so does all of hell!  The devil is saying, He got saved.  He prayed back through to where he used to be!  Well, we will knock him down!  If you are walking in the strength of God that He fed you on that plate, then you have strength against the devil. You see, the devil watches what you eat!

The devil has a list, and he checks out what you eat!  Devils can talk.  Well, he likes steak.  He likes ice cream.  Oh, . . . but he doesn’t like white beans! What category would that make him strong in?  You mean the white beans give him strength to know that if he doesn’t walk straight before the Lord, he could backslide and go to hell?  Yeah, but he’s not eating that, and he doesn’t believe that.  He believes that once he is saved, then he is saved no matter what he does.  Wow, no kidding?  And he has never eaten white beans?  No, he hates them, because he doesn’t like that doctrine.

I just picked one doctrine out of many.  God has fed you that for a reason.  You can backslide and go to hell.  You can’t play around with God and expect to keep His blessings!  You won’t eat those white beans!  You say they give you gas, but hell is not short on gas!

The devil says, He won’t eat white beans, so let’s just go get him.  No sweat; he refuses to eat, so we’ve got him!  However, some crazy preacher may come along and tell him that he needs to eat or he will die.  The man says, All right.  The man may pick at that bean and say, Well, it is possible that the Bible says you can backslide.  So he takes a small bite and says, No, this is terrible, so I’m not going to believe that.  Meanwhile, the devil hounds.  God deals with the man again.  He eats the beans and wakes up.  He gets strength and understanding in that area that he never understood before!

Your plate is full, and God will purposely put things on that plate that you don’t like.  Has supper ever been late after you worked hard?  You were hot and hungry, because you put out all that you had.  Did you say, Where’s my dinner?  I’ve been serving you, God.  I’ve been getting this stuff under the blood, and I’ve been waiting for a miracle.  I’ve been doing all this for you, God, so where is my meal?  Where is my blessing?  Lord, I’m feeling low, so what’s going on?

We can get a little touchy when things don’t go along with our own timing!  God’s clock stays perfect and in time.  The ravens may have been a little late with food for Elijah, but it came!  That old prophet was in the wilderness, because if he had showed his face in Israel, they would have cut his head off!  God may drive you into the wilderness, like he did Jesus, and deal with you.

God will save you, and fill you with the Holy Ghost, and He will take care of you.  Trust in God, and you will never go hungry.  You might get a little growl in your belly, but you will never go hungry!  It may get dry sometimes, and you may feel like all that you have left is faith.  I know what that feels like.

We are taught of God to be instant in season and out of season.  When I am ministering, and it becomes meal time, I have to say, Oh, never mind, we will go on ministering, because this would interrupt the move of God.  What would you think if I said, Would you pardon me a minute, sinner, while I go get me something to eat?

You are supposed to be well fed at God’s table.  He has prepared you a table, so eat of it, and go out and do the works of Christ!  God has called you to do these things.  God has prepared for you a table in the wilderness.            Matthew 22:1-2 says, “And Jesus answered and spake unto them again by parables, and said, The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son,”  Here we see the Father has prepared a marriage feast for Jesus.  We are talking about a feast, not a potluck!  We aren’t talking about a tingle now and then, and a prophecy about something.  I’m talking about a feast!  I’m talking about anointing, and devils going out at the spoken word, and cancers dropping off!  I’m talking about the power of God!  He has called you to feast at this last day anointing for revival.  He’s called and called you.  Have you come?

The Bible says that he sent out servants, and the people would not listen.  Matthew 22:3 says, “And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come.  Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage.  But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:”

These wouldn’t come, so God told them to get somebody else.  Verse 9-10 says, “Go ye therefore into the highways, and as many as ye shall find, bid to the marriage.  So those servants went out into the highways, and gathered together all as many as they found, both bad and good: and the wedding was furnished with guests.”

God will take the whores, the drunks, and the dope addicts.  He’s going to save them and fill them with the Holy Ghost.  They will love Him much, because they have lost the much that they had of the devil.  They will serve Him with a whole heart.  They that were bidden at first were not worthy.

Jesus will serve you at that table, but not in the servant’s capacity.  He is the giver of gifts, the giver of the anointing, the giver of life.  That is the kind of serving he meant.  God prepared a table in the presence of David’s enemies.  Many times God will bless you right in front of your enemies.  He doesn’t hide it in the corner so your neighbors won’t see you.  He wants the devil to know that He’s got a people, and He is willing to bless them.

Psalm 23:5-6 says, “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.  Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”

The saints are going to be testifying in heaven of the glory of God, and about what He did by the blood of His Son to redeem the saints.  It will be testimony of the signs, wonders, and miracles that He performed. It’s going to be a testimony service like you have never seen!  They will continuously praise God.

God still does miracles!  He said in Matthew 24:35, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”  1 Corinthians 12:28 says, “And God hath set some in the church, first apostles, secondarily prophets, thirdly teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, governments, diversities of tongues.”

If God’s people are obedient, the anointing is there to do the work, and miracles should be prevalent.  God wants to furnish a table, and it is spread at the altar.  The only way that you can receive of His table and of His blessings is for you to sacrifice yourself on His altar.  God lets you trade your old self and sins for the life of Christ in your vessel.  God has ordained this through His Son Jesus, and the enemy will be destroyed.

God is the God of sacrifice, and you are the sacrifice.  He has already sacrificed His Son.  The only way that you are going to receive of His sacrifice is to give yours.  Romans 12:1 says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.”  If you believe God, He will heal you and deliver you.  If you meet His conditions, then He will meet your needs.  God wants to touch you.

Father, touch every heart that reads this message.  Let them know that there is a table spread before them that gives them eternal life if they will receive it.  Let them see what the devil has been feeding them, and break the yoke off of this people, in Jesus’ name.  Amen.
